Jessie is an accomplished publishing creative for the children’s market with twenty years of experience collaborating on award-winning books and projects. She believes in building literacy in young children and empowering them with the tools to build a foundation of well-being through beautiful, well-crafted, and engaging books.
Jessie made her way into publishing early in her career with a background in painting and drawing. As an artist, art directing picture books and cultivating illustrator relationships came naturally. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in fine art with concurrent and continuing study at the Corcoran School, Institute Lorenzo de’ Medici in Florence, and UC Berkeley Art Studio. She continues to incorporate her lifelong love of pattern and color in her art and publishing projects. Besides her work as a designer, Jessie is a dedicated advocate for animals and a wildlife rehabilitator. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, taking her puppies to the beach, and crafting her garden.
